Local, raw, minimally filtered (to leave the good stuff!) backyard honey!
Did you know a honeybee makes 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in her lifetime? Or that all of the working bees in a hive are female? Honeybees amaze me. We don’t use any herbicides or pesticides on our property because it’s better for the earth, for our health, and it limits the amount of chemicals the bees are storing in their honey and wax. Pesticides are meant to kill bugs, and bees are bugs! You'll notice there are color variations in the honey due to the different types of available flowers the bees are visiting throughout the warm months. You'll notice lighter honey in the spring, more amber colored honey in the summer, and a much darker honey in the fall. All delicious, but definitely different flavors!
